The Curry Slide Animation has been the talk of players since the recent release of NBA 2K22. Curry Slide Animation is actually supposed to be coming later in this game but somehow, through a glitch, players are able to get it now also. So, if you also want to get Curry Slide Animation in NBA 2K22, just keep reading this article to get it easily.
In recent years, there hasn't been a move as popular on the court as Stephen Curry's signature slide escape. In a game dominated on creating space for open threes, it's a dribble move that can be spammed and covers a ton of ground with ease.
Curry’s slide dribble move requires a ball-handling rating of 86 or above; if you don’t have it, you won’t be able to perform it. When doing the Curry Slide in NBA 2K22, keep an eye on which hand you hold the ball in because it will affect the input for this animation. Pull down and hold R/R3 in a diagonal direction for no more than 2 seconds when you have the ball in your hands.
Supposedly, the Curry Slide animation is something that will come later, perhaps through Seasons, though that is not officially confirmed by 2K Sports and more just reported by different people in the community.
In the meantime though, there are some alternatives you can try to somewhat emulate the Curry Slide in NBA 2K22, though not to the degree of in the past.
NBA 2K22 Curry Slide Animation: How to get it?
- Go to the “My Career” option in the main menu and create a new player.
- When you create a new player and go to test build, NBA 2K22 gives you a random set animation and it’s the only loophole to get this animation
- So, to test which animation you have got, you need to go into the match (after “Test Build”) and try to perform the Curry Slide Move. (To perform a curry slide, hold the RT or R2 button on the controller and flick the right stick diagonally away from the hand of the ball. It means that if you are holding the ball in the left hand, hold the RT or R2 button and flick the right stick diagonally to the left.)
- If you have not got the Curry Slide Animation from the first try, restart the game and go to “Test Build” again. Repeat this step until you get the Curry Slide animation. On the other hand, if you have got the curry slide animation, you can start “MyCareer” and the animation will stay with your player.
If you have the Curry Slide Animation from the first try, quit out of the tester and start your MyCareer. The animation will stay with your player as long as you don't change the "Normal" Size-Up Escape Package that's set in your MyPlayer's Playmaking Moves Animations slot. If you don't have the Curry Slide Animation in the build tester, simply quit and out and try again.
NBA 2K22 was released on September 10, 2021 for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
